Fondr ("we", "our", "us") is a couples app that helps partners stay connected by sharing lists, calendars, and relationship milestones. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we protect it.

1. Data We Collect

We collect only what is needed to provide the app's features:

• Account information: Email address, display name, and Apple Sign-In identifier
• Profile photo: An optional profile image you choose to upload
• Relationship data: Partner name, anniversary date, significant dates, and vault entries (preferences and notes about your partner)
• Shared lists: List titles and items you create (date ideas, movies, wishlists)
• Calendar data: Availability slots and proposed events you add
• Swipe session data: Your swipe choices when deciding on date ideas together
• Device token: An Apple Push Notification token to deliver notifications when your partner makes updates

2. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used solely to provide the Fondr service:

• Display your shared information to you and your linked partner
• Send push notifications when your partner adds or updates content
• Authenticate your account and maintain your session

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the app.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties. Your data is shared only with your linked partner within the app. No analytics services, advertising networks, or data brokers have access to your information.

4. Data Storage and Security

• Encryption in transit: All data between your device and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS (TLS). Real-time updates use secure WebSockets (WSS).
• Encryption at rest: Our database is hosted on managed infrastructure with AES-256 encryption at rest.
• Authentication tokens: Stored securely in your device's iOS Keychain, not in app storage.
• Passwords: Hashed using bcrypt with a cost factor of 12. We never store plaintext passwords.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your data: View all your personal information within the app
• Rectify your data: Update your display name, partner name, timezone, and other profile information at any time
• Delete your data: Delete your account from Settings. This permanently removes your account, your partner link, and all associated data (lists, events, vault entries, photos, availability) from our servers
• Data portability: Contact us to request a copy of your data in a machine-readable format

These rights apply to all users, including those in the European Economic Area (EEA) under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

6. Data Retention

• Active accounts: Your data is retained while your account is active
• Deleted accounts: When you delete your account, all personal data is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days
• Partnership dissolution: If you or your partner leaves the partnership, shared data associated with the pair is removed

7. Tracking and Analytics

Fondr does not track you. We do not use analytics SDKs, advertising identifiers, or any form of cross-app tracking. We do not collect device information beyond what is necessary for push notifications.

8. Children

Fondr is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you through the app or by other means. The "Effective date" at the top of this page indicates when this policy was last revised.
